Just got my car out today and it doesn't start at all, it just cranks over and nothing after being shipped. I think they messed something up or the ECU took a dump. The car is fine and has 10K miles but I believe it is the ECU or immobilizier. I think I am going to get it towed to Landstuhl Mitsubishi and get it looked at? Where do you guys go local? What a bummer for a 3 day weekend

dude, that sucks. Have you been to landstuhl mitsu? that place looks like a real dump, they have like 2-3 old eclipses with weeds growing out of them.

If it was the immobilzer, while you were cranking, a little green "key" shaped light would come on above the tach. I know, i've fried my ecu in texas and forgot to get one of my keys coded. a couple month later, i used that other key and it would crank but immediately shut down (ran for about 10 secs the 1st try) - thought the ecu fried again, little green light came on, used the other key.. fired right up.

If there is anything I can do for you, let me know.

Who's the devil? Oh the guy trying to charge me 20 Euro's(30 dollars) a sparkplug!

Car is still down, allthough I got it to misfire while trying to start after putting some fresh gas in. I think I either have water in my fuel or my spark plugs are shot? Who knows?

It possibly is the gas. I had similar problems with another car of mine when I had it shipped back from Germany. Tank was almost empty (which was odd, since it was slightly above a quarter of tank when I turned it in). It had a Check Engine Light (code was a misfire). I filled the tank with fresh gas and the problem went away.

That is odd though, did they start it for you to bring out to you or was it that way from the start?

Yes I do if they are for the IX? Can you PM a contact number so I can get a hold of you? Today it was raining slightly and the car won't even try to kick over now. If you had to take your Evo anywhere wqho would you go to??

Again thanks for all the help guys.
