I do have a silencer on my exhaust to quite it down but I dont want to sell my stock exhaust if I am going to need it for inspection over there if my exhaust doesnt pass. Last time I did a vehicle inspect in Vilseck when I was there the guy was cool and didnt really worry about to much, my old beaten up Opel I had till I got my BMW passed. So anyone with vehicle inspection currently can chime in would be cool.
It depends on where you will be. Here at Ramstein/Vogelweh, I had a Helix exhaust that passed. They take a dB meter and measure noise. As long as you have a silencer you should be golden.

Keep your stock exhaust and cat. There is a new law that will require emissions sticker here in germany so having a stock exhaust with cat might help:

Hope this helps.

thats right, here in Schwienfurt, they dont have a DB meter... so the drunk bald german just goes off of his bad hearing! lol and if you "try" to speak German to him... he will almost always pass you!

My TMO arrived today. Good news is that my Varis trunk arrived without a mark, Bad news is that the evo is STILL in the States. Anyone need a OEM lip for an VIII? Also got a set of Rota Torques that I am debating on saling or putting on winter tires.

if you mean me, I am on Ramstein. I work on the south side for the time being, I go TDY to the states for a month, then work will be moving to the north side across from the library. I live in Schonenburg-Kubelberg which is the next town away from the base from Miesau.
