HKS GT3037S and David Buschur tune
In decembre I had my car tuned by David Buschur in Las Vegas.
Been really busy with work and couldn't post results untill now, but here they are.
It was definetely worth the long drive to get the tune, I was happy with the down-to-business Buschur service and am now going to throw in a Buschur 2.3 stroker in the coming weeks.
Also a special thanks to Doug from Doug's Dynopower for all his help and enthusiasm during the dynotest.

Race gas was a 30psi spike holding about 26psi.
I am about to purchase the 2.3 Buschur motor and will hopefully have a nice torquey motor as the car is used for track events. I've also got a GT4088R sitting here on my desk which I may throw on the car someday just for giggles and a run down the 1/4,although that's not really my thing..
Here is a video of the car at 19-20psi spike holding 14psi. On this occasion I did not run more than 14psi because the clutch was beginning to slip...

Thanks very much! I had hoped for slightly higher numbers, but I guess the turbo just didn't want to make much more.
On the weekend I threw some new rings and rods bearings in the motor and headed to the track, and I really liked the nice fat wideband, only the slowest turns show any signs of lag, and I'm confident that will be solved with the 2.3L

I'm just saving a few more pennies and I'll be hitting you up for the other pieces we spoke about...Christmas/new year's was a lot more expensive than I had planned
It's hard to judge criteria if you don't know what my criteria is. I think the green (and lot's of other turbo options) are great but for this car in particular I wanted to go JDM style....was it the right decision??..does it really matter? It is what it is.
The car draws a crowd wherever i open the hood and the ooo'es and ahhh's speak for themselves. I didn't build it to break records, but to have that feeling of driving an Evo with a bunch of HKS stuff under the hood and you know what...it feels kind of cool.
For less money I could've gone with a AMS or Buschur (etc) turbo kit and reaped more power, but I couldn't care less, I'm one of the lucky one's who gets payed to drive (race) for a living so let my team boss worry about giving me a competitive car lol.
By the way, the car feels great on the track with only a little lag in the slowest corners, which I'm sure will be eradicated with the pending BR 2.3. Honestly I've looked at the FP red power curves and they are impressive, and may some day try one out for myself..for now I'm happy.
As far as engine basics, my car has:
Cosworth head and cams
HKS Kansai intake manifold
ARC intercooler (holding car back due to high IAT's)
2.5" custom intercooler tubing
Walbro 255
AEM EMS
Stock TB
3" electronic cut-out
4" custom intake and AEM filter
If you require any more info just let me know.
