Dg motors dont play around
I had my evo 9 tuned by dynoflash about 1 year ago and only drove it for a week or two and stored away for the winter.I finally took out for spring and it drove slow and had no response,so decided to call dynoflash to recheck everything that it is running good.Al put the car on the dyno and said that it need fresh plugs because the old ones were tired so he put in denso 1 step colder and did a couple of pulls and it picked up 5whp,then he crused the blowoff vlave because of the 26 psi setting, and did one more pull and picked up 5 more whp. Then he decided to clean up the tune by refreshing with a little more timing and the final number was 367whp the dynojet which good for stock cams no meth just straight 93 pump.my friend has been raving about this place called DG MOTORS that there no joke and there tunes make some serious power. His evo x with just a tbe, cone filter, and tune made 310 on a dyno dynamics which is the heart breaker dyno,so i decided to take there after i had talked to pete on the phone and he's one of the coolest peeps around and also heard that charlie from cbrd was the new tuner and said to myself to go their for a log and dyno pull and was very sad after dynoflash's original pull was only 277whp that's 320 on dynojet so were is the other 50 whp, then charlie worked his majic and made 320 whp w.hich is almost 400 whp on a dynojet and the final numbers safe was 315whp on their dyno around 390 dyno jet.Just want to say thanks to DG MOTORS and all the staff expecially charlie the tuner for all the help and making my car run like a freak, also forgot to mention al bro tune was unsafe and had 5 knock counts thanks for wasting my time.

Come on - do you think your car would suddenly loose 50 WHP after it ran that way for over a year and change ?
Your mods - including stock turbo and stock cams on a IX came in at a very resonable and very healthy 358 whp from back on May 10. 2008. With pump gas 350 - 360 whp is very healthy and reasonable power level for your mods.
Flash forward 13 months later and apparently you contacted George who arranged to have you come back to check your tune and we re-dynoed the car again THIS WEEK - without touching the tune

Those are your two runs this time from last week
The blue as you came in from the street with your year old tune
The red with the addition of a fresh set of spark plugs
Let me sumarize - your car was running strong lasy year when I first tuned it. It ran for a year with no problems and the compression was strong and the motor healthy last week. The car put down 3 more whp after driving for a year.
All of this done on a non adjustable dyno jet dyno.
Now all of a sudden another shop with an adjustable dyno is claiming you lost 50 whp with no explanation as to why.
How they say you are going to make 400 on a dyno jet - I call BS.
Assuming that what they told you is true - you should now be making about 390 - 400 or so whp on our dyno as you were making a repeatable and consistant 360 last week on our dyno.
As our dyno is not adjustable - it does not lie. As George has invited you come on down and we'll see how the car is running now on a non adjusted - non control "X" dyno. We'll see what the tale of the tape is on a non adjusted real dyno.
As for knock counts or what ever this other facility is telling you, I carefully data logged your car on the road last week and it had zero knock counts and was running perfectly as shown by the above dyno sheets. When you are on a load bearing dyno it is possible to add additional load and ramp time to have a artificially longer run time. All these factors are adjustable and subject to manipulation and change by the end user.
It really pains me to see a customer with a really nice running and well tuned Evo being manipulated by bad mouthing and trash talling by another local facility. I have been hearing of some of this through the grape vine and its really pathetic to me.
I take a lot of pride in my work and I make sure that each tune is as perfect as it can be. In this case the tune was just about as good as you can expect. It made really good power, it remained repatable and consistant for over a year and it did not damage the car even though the customer was running a lot of boost for pump gas.

who knows???Bring down the vehicle tomorrow morning and I will personally dyno your car on at n/c on a real NON ADJUSTABLE Dyno to compare results and look for that 390-400whp number that DG Motors Claims!
One way to find out my friend bring it to my non adjustable, non manipulated dyno. I am tired of other shops saying Oh.. these are Dynojet numbers... theory... BS... This is the only way we can clear this up and I am sure others also want to know..
I will see you tomorrow morning as per our conversation last night, please prove me wrong this is the only way we can truly compare.
P.S For all of you other EVO or Subaru owners that have been on a Dyno Dynamics adjustable dyno please fell free to bring down your vehicle for FREE dyno on my Dynojet Dyno... Free at n/c... I want to prove to you that unfortunately many and most of you guys have been cheated on WHP figures and claims.

But George thanks again for the invite. I think the only other dyno in the country I would like to do a few pulls on would be Buschur or Krazy House
Haha. No thanks I'm happy with The Shop and Junior tune. My buddy took a test ride with me and datalogged my tune and said it was flawless. I'm not really a fan of ICS or Dynoflash but keep up the good work all these shops are really making evo's shine.....Hopefully Mitsubishi Of America will contunie to produce the evo in the future and contiue to make them stronger.

Oh and by no means do I think or feel that your trying to steal me. Maybe I should run at Krazy House first and then jump on a uncorrected dyno jet. Look I look at the numbers as a way of tuning. I actually just look at the power and tq curve vs. parts on the car hp doesn't really concern me too much. If a tuner tells me I should be at 120-125 trap on full weight then I trust them. My first tune was a dynoflash tune on The Shop dyno and I was told my trap should be in a general area and it is then the dyno, shop, and tuner did their jobs effectively.
See this is where you loose me. I was thought all dynos can be adjusted from the software including yours? I see other shops post their Dynojet #' I I sometimes see a correction factor used. So what makes your dyno different from the others? I understand you run uncorrected all the time but isn't say your dyno un-adjustable a false statement?
