Spyros,
Dont forget that you can use evo 4-6 radiators if you want to move over the top water pipe, to get it away from the exhaust manifold. They put it into the centre of the radiator for the evo 7-9 to clear the cold air intake, which you do not have because of the custom setup.
Can't wait for GTX results.
Also remember to put a small heatshield onto the exhaust cam angle sensor to stop failures due to overheating (because of tubular manifold).

Here are the Dynoplots of the GTX3582R to our test car.

The engine details are:
2ltr, 13:1cr, 4340 rods 157mm, Highly ported cylinder head very efficient, oversize valves, custom cams 2nd stage no mivec, 3'' down pipe and exhaust, ETS 5'' intercooler kit, Magnus v5 intake manifold, boomba throtle, Haltech 2000.

We didnt test this turbo with methanol as we wanted to stay as close to the limit of compressor map vs temperature. Also we wanted to outflow 100% this unit. So to know that even 1extra Hp couldnt produce this unit no matter the engine efficiency.

Our engine flow characteristics is designed to work efficient (keep the power up) till 10500-11000rpms, so the only limitation of the peak rpm now will be the turbo. So if u see the power drop down will be out of the turbine map of the turbo making restriction. Also the cams we choose is designed to not loose power low and mid so as to know that the spool characteristics will be better to any future test from a 2000cc engine.

Knowing this problem of choking and overspeeding because of the small turbo vs high output engine we test also a new custom version of this unit that u will see below.



Lets see.

Here is 1bar - 14.7 psi awhp vs Hp (we want the Hp so as to compare to the comp map)

U can see that above 8500rpms the power gets down although the 1bar remains.








Here is 1.5bar - 22 psi awhp vs Hp








Here is 2bar - 30 psi awhp vs Hp






Here is our engine flowing over the compressor map. Near is the actual power that we show with the speed vs lbs-min




Here is the restriction.





We test it over 32psi to see how perfrorms but the unit overspeeding producing no power but extra heat making the power fall. Our conclusion is, the comp wheel is more efficient than other billet wheels we have test, but the flow of it did not match to the small turbine wheel. We think that is very good unit designed for engines with small cc or efficiency below 90%.

We believe that garrett make a good step beyond the competition. Its designed to flowing 800+ hp and it gave us extra 130hp not sacrificing the spool.

Performs very well.

And here is the new modified gtx prototyoe turbo that we also test.
We knew from the start that our engine outflows the turbine side of the gtx3582 and we built a new custom one to see how performs.

Gtx3582 near Prototype. Taller tip and bigger exducer making the shaft speed lower.




Gtx3582 near Prototype. Taller tip and bigger wheel making the exhaust side more efficient. Bigger inducer making the ratio to the comp wheel better.









And here are the tests of the prototype


Boost at 15psi vs Hp vs awhp, look now the hp peak that goes up to 9000rpms gaining 40hp.








Here at 22psi.






Here is at 30-31psi






Also as the shaft speed moves slower and the turbine side is more eficient we could and boost it more than 36psi just for test.

This unit will not sold to public till spring as its for our tests.

Thanks to Garrett for this unit to test. Performs 100% what promise.


Also we are about to finish the tests of the high output t3 turbo u ask from us.


We trying to lower the cost of it as much we can. We will have 2 versions propably for the public.
900-950awhp and 1050-1100awhp to our dyno.

Exclamation 13:1 CR @ 15 to 31 PSI of Boost?

WOW !!! - never heard of this before for on a Daily Driver or even a Race Motor that was expected to last more than a few Bonzia passes @ 31 PSI with a 13:1 CP and some secret $100.00 per gallon fuel!!! Could you please educate me how you are able to accomplish this.

Talk about a peppy motor right off idle!!! WOW!!

Also your company must be subsidized by an "Oil Well" to be able to do all this very wonderful R&D and still focus only on such a narrow and limited market that could not even begin to support the cost of this HIGH end development. This market ( Mitsubishi Evo 4G63 & 4B11 motors) in reality loves to read about these incredible results you have accomplished but does not have a chance in hell of being able to afford most of your products that are born from the "out of this world" R&D you so expertly accomplish.

Anyway. myself and every other poster here hopes your "Oil Well" never dries up because it truely is amazing what you are doing !!!

PS - "Oil Well" = what ever it is you are doing to produce the huge amounts of capital it takes to do this very high end (Formula One/OEM style) development work. Or maybe you really do have an Oil Well. May the $$$ GODS shine on your future and keep your wonderful Development work fully funded!!!

did the pictures not show up on your computer?
looks like a t3 or t4 manifold to me, probably 0.82 A/R housing

I was thinking more the 1.06 A/R at those power levels. Hard to tell as most aren't running 13:1 CR @ 30psi boost.

Spyros, any chance you could post up the exhaust manifold preasure logs?

Better yet, if you have direct comparative Intake manifold vs exhaust manifold preasure through the whole dyno pull, that would be awesome!
