Tim, just a quick answer.
We measure Vol.Eff with out turbo, we develop an engine with best NA VE first then we calculate with x boost pressure x intercooler Eff and pressure drop from IC and find the turbo VE.Eff per boost that we check then the turbo comp and turbine map if its close to reality. We dont trust comp maps as creted in cells completely diferent than ambient.
There are 3 types of Eff.
Vol.eff, Mech Eff. and Fuel ConvEff. The way u describe it to me seems that u calculate the fuel Conv.eff not the Volumetric Eff.

Spyros - In my opinion, you personally could not have pick a better partner to work with. Mark, Chad and Brent are a top notch organization! I've been extremely pleased with their attention to detail, meeting customer goals and meeting customer expectations. These guys are innovators and optimizers and are never complacent with results. From the pictures of your work and the discussions I have read, I can tell you have these very same attributes.
I totally believe that once you become unteachable in this business you devalue yourself, your team, your customers and your partners. Sorry for the rant, I just get excited about collaborative efforts between highly motivated people that's motive is to bring exciting products to the consumer.
