When you have a bigger, more free flowing turbo and other parts of your setup have been optimized for flow (bigger, ported, etc) then your knock threshold goes down and its easier to run higher boost on a given octane.

The 24psi you quote as max on 91 oct is basiaclly the stock turbo max.

Also check out razorlab/GST motorsports about testing bigger boost on 91oct. Dynos and info about running 27lbs w/ a FP Green on 91oct.

Where do you think the idea came from? I was running 30 back in the day on my Green as well. I know its possible but I also know not anyone will or can tune a car to run boost like that on 91

I know this is old but I don't care. Is this powerband like this because its a 9? Because of the tuner or what? Cause 95% of the reds are not doing this on pump. I'm not calling job a liar at all. Just asking if this is seen often or was this just a monster car?
