Sd blows! Especially big turbo and big power! Wot wonderful! Other than that sucks IMO! Standalone is where it's at if you want to go all out! Sd in a few months or years might be as good! But not now!

You can make it useless in my engine bay! I want to try some SD myself but dont want to cut into my wiring harness. I also want a break out harness so I can install an AVC-R without messing with my wire harness. Hard to keep a car nice and mod it at the same time. I know fathouse loved SD on his car with stock ECU, but loves the AEM more.

Is this from first hand experience or what you've read? I have no complaints w/ SD on big turbo/power car. If you had issues, maybe it was related to the tune

Don't even waste your breath Creamo. Seriously, there is so much misinformation spewed around the forum, it's not even funny.

Also, anyone who can't spell mathematical and writes 'more powa than you fool' and puts it in his signature for the world to see...well, make your own judgements there.

Seriously though...how many times have you seen this guy in the ECUFlash subforum in the SD threads? I don't remember any. Again, take the posts for what they are worth and who is posting them. I hope that the majority of people reading these posts take that into account. If not, oh well...the people who are in the know will benefit and those who aren't won't...no big deal.

BTW, awesome results with your setup, Creamo.

well its funny because pizzaman had SD done by someone that was taught by someone im not going to say on the forum, but they are well known for setting up SD on cars. and he says he doesnt like it.. and its funny every SD evo ive ever ridden in ran like absolute ****. I dont know if its because people dont take the time to tune it or what but thats why im avoiding it. plus im making good power with gutted maf so im satisfied.. im done with my car it feels like a ****ing rocket at 32psi there is no need for more power on the street.. i actually have trouble gripping the steering wheel it throws u back in the seat so hard.

ive been in AEM v1 cars that have jitter issues that are not even fixable, you cant fix jitter with aem v1.. and it was somewhat fixed in v2 but v2 has so many bugs its not even funny. I might put SD on my car just to see if i can get it to run smooth to see if its lack of tuning and etc, but i wont do that until it gets warmer out. for now im just going to enjoy what i have. but Scheides wrote a very good tutorial how to setup SD so i dont see why anyone cant attempt it themselves with good results.. if i do it i will be using livemap + DMA since thats the easiest way to tweak the VE tables on a evo.

yes i think so just to see if i can get some more to hold uptop at the same boost. from what ive seen so far you can up the wastegate duty cycle so much on a 3 port that it will hold the gate closed longer then a MBC.

Well judging by pizzamans sig he got tuned by Kreionic, and as far as I know Kreionic does not know how to tune stock ecu SD, and he never got "taught" by anyone.

People might try to make phone calls asking for help, but why would another tuner teach anyone how to tune the way they do? This is a business after all isn't it? Why lose customers by teaching another guy how to do what you do well.

I am running SD on stock ecu and it works perfect. SD actually fixed a bunch of problems that I was having with my previous MAF tune.

You will probably lose some spool by going to the 3 port, but ya it'll hold boost longer.

actually you can keep the wastegate closed better with 100% wgdc on a 3 port then you can a hallman pro. so no you're wrong.

While I don't completely agree with the statement regarding SD, I do agree that if you are doing this well on the gutted maf there isn't much of a reason to switch things up. Reading this thread and a couple other ones you def have an impressive setup
