I have to say this I have too no way this a 86 turbo the spool is virtually impossible. This looks like a graph, power level, spool up,and tq looks like a 30r..Can you prove it's a 3586 cause on 28 psi this thing should make 500 whp with out breaking a sweat.

It's the manifold design, the .63 housing, and the tuning.

Ask me how I know

I built the entire turbo kit

I spooled a regular 35r with the kit 26psi by 4,500 rpms with a AMS intake manifold and Kelford 272 cams. Also made 452/346 on 93 octane with AEM on a dynomite dyno.

The turbo that went with the kit was a regular 35r. He sent the turbo in to FP for an 86 upgrade. They could have easily made the .63 housing fit. I'll let Detroit comment, but he did send it in for an upgrade did not buy an hta86 new from FP

ok so a reg 35r hit 26psi at 4500, but somehow an hta86(wayy bigger and laggier) hits 27psi 100rpm's faster? come on, its a reg 35r..

No way can't be possible .How come he's the first I saw a with spool like that and a 63 a.r housing??You don't think everyone else would have done this??

The 35r should have spooled faster, if I had a stock intake manifold and more spool friends cams (like gsc's).

My fp-red wouldn't hit 26psi untill around 4,400-4,500rpms. Most are hitting that around 4k. My car just didn't spool quick.

Detroit has a stock intake manifold, gsc cams plus MIVEC tuning, and you have to remember there probably isn't anyone out there with a .63 hta86.

Even my car didn't even spool that fast and I have the same cams and mivec in it and I'M on a 63.ar with lean afrs to spool it fast..I think someone else would have done this cause if this was the case it would have be mentioned...This car spools like a red..On 28 psi this car would have made a ton more power.

Even if you made this manifold with the smaller runners it would not spool a 86 that quick.

This mean this car spools faster then a 2.4 stroker .https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...e-25-5psi.html
