he has injectors... there just isn't a lot of E85 around us to justify the change as of yet.

There are a lot of ways he can go with this setup, and there is some potential in it for sure.

Jason. no one other than Jeo had .83s. Remember Justin before he sold the turbo (on pump) when you where gone. Remember the evo that justin sold the kit to.... remember troung (built engine though).

This is just to answer your question. Im not trying to take ANYTHING away from this. Again, good on yall. Later on this thing is gonna be beyond nasty. This is by far the best turbo for over all power.

those were all .82 hotsides.... justin's was, truongs was, they were all .82s. Mine was the first .63 hotside that we used. You should remember because everyone was cracking on me for using a smaller hotside. I'd imagine the hotside didnt change when justin sold it, so Daves car has an .82 as well. If somehow their .82s shrunk, then i'd be embarrassed by the spool as my .63 hit 28 psi by 4600 and they didnt hit it until 51 or 52 which is consistent with the .82 especially when compared. So to agree with your statement, Seeing 500whp on a standard 35 w/ .82 hotside is fairly common... the .63 however is not something so common which is why i asked who you were talking about when you made the comment because i still cant think of anyone that came close on pump gas.

This setup should have a lot more in it . I made 491whp@ 28-29psi on a dj with my hta3582 with a .63a/r and pretty much same mods except I had kelfords. On pump gas.

Timing ? AFRs ? 93 ?

We know it has more in it... we also know the DJ reads a little different than most others.

27.7psi on a 2.0L with the .82 will be just under 530whp on 92 octane on a dynojet with those mods.

It does give up almost seemingly a 1000rpm of spool for that 100hp but its all about whats important to you I guess. When you compare where the 2 setups make 300 ft lbs though that gap shrinks to around 500rpm.

As far as the .63 on the other 35r's that were on those other cars in the past, I know meth was on Jason's when it made the power it did. What mods were added to the others over what Ali's car has on it now?
I TOTALLY understand about alis car. ... no questions about it.. yes she got way more in it and in time shell get it.

Justin's car was just cams and the kit. We tuned it on pump after we hit 500 on pump on Troungs just to play with it. we broke 500 and we stoped. Right after he sold the kit to a stock evo9. we put 272s, 1200cc and the kit. hit 510 or 514 just cause the owner wanted to push her and he dint care. obviously we pulled it back to a lower boost and he took it. theres also 2 more from out of town. stock blocks also.

Also, we need to get off this hotside talk and get back to Ali's. we can make a thread about it.

Typically what do the .63 hotsides you tune spool at with a 35?

Well there is a difference between spool and where it makes 300 ft lbs for a given boost level. Most of them will light off on an VIII around 4600 or so (300 ft lbs) but make decent boost by 4200-4300.

I agree. I would like to see people post their mods and dyno graphs, even VD/VDR graphs, in a seperate thread so we can see more info between the 2.
