Purchased a .82 Tial hotside. But might hold off to install it till I build the motor.

its a good thing you checked... dont want that being an issue later on. We can look at the first 3 pages of this thread to see why

tell u the truth even the .82 looks alot smaller than some of the other hotside that I have seen. not sure if the Tial ones are different or what, but the garrets definitly look alot bigger.

I am surprised you are changing the housing before testing the .63 out on the built motor and seeing what it will do. with the spool it has I would def be willing to give a little efficiency for that. I would have waited and seen if it didnt make the power I wanted before swapping it out. Whats the new goals for the car?

I agree with u on maxing out the 63 on a built motor and see how it performs especially with the spool that I am getting. Which is honestly not very far from my previous setup with the red! But not having a dd, makes it a tough decision to go thru these tests and deal with the downtime. Will see how it plays…
Also, from talking to allot of the guys on here who have worked on similar setups, they all seem to be in agreement that with the 63 u get fast spool but u will sacrifice top end. Check out the first few lines of this thread (he's using a .78 and switched to a .82)
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...tang-dyno.html

Goals???? mmmm..lol I think they have been changing since the first day when I thought 340whp was stupid fast....so u get where I am heading.
