The car will not see any road course action, I can't even imagine running it at Mid Ohio, I'd probably kill myself. Autocross, I'm not sure how it will do, It's going to require a lot of driver control, of the car and the throttle. I'm looking at some different tires, not sure I want to spend the money though. I get tired of constantly spending and buying tires/wheels all the time gets old. I can't believe how poorly this tire works though, I had them on Project White and they were fantastic, RE01's are good tires but these just fry. Just using 2nd gear on the autocross course will save me I think........less than 2 weeks and I'm gonna find out!

btw love the wheels, my dad said the make my Evo look "more refined" whatever that means. Autocross in this Evo would seem like a nightmare, throttle control ...can't imagine with that much power. What tires are you considering moving to now?

Autocrossing your car seems like it would be a handful! You should put a GoPro in the car when you do!

how can you NOT road course that car? with the powerband you have and all that torque you could shift @ 5.5-6k and have no worries of ever putting your hand out the window.

I've got 245-45-17's on it now, I need a tall tire to help keep the RPM down. I was considering the Star Specs but not sure it's going to be much of a difference from what I have. NT01's are on the list too.

I will have my camera in the car when I autocross it, probably just my iphone, it's too easy to use and edit.

Man, road racing this would just be scarey. I hit about 130 mph on the back straight of Mid Ohio in the '06 Eclipse we've got with 245 flywheel HP. This thing would have to be 180 or something completely retarded! I'm not at all interested in seeing china beach (part of the track at Mid Ohio) coming at me at those types of speeds. Besides, I'd hate to ever wreck it.

If you want to do autox, gotta go with the Hoosier A6s 285 30 18. No other autox tire compares. Unfortunately you pay up the nose for them.
