I have a burning desire to get this back on the 1/4 mile after this weekend. I ordered new wheel spacers today, since it seems someone stole mine. When I get them we are taking it back out.

Dave - what tire and wheel combo will you be using for the drag strip? Slightly off-topic from your thread but have you herd any updates regarding the MT 17" slicks?

No news on the M/T slicks.

I'll be using the Hoosier QTP's, DOT tire on RX7 wheels. We had our best 60' time on those last year and the car is the most stable. On top of that I can drive to the track on them.

Just got the car fixed and man am I happy with it. That terrible decel noise I've tolerated for years is finally gone!!!! Dan threw together a t-case for me using a really nice used '03 case I had bought and the Quaiffe out of the one I broke and the car is so freaking quiet now, I am amazed.

Gary Reese is finishing up harness bars and took mine to copy it, as it was the prototype. I have no seat belts in the car now so I didn't go far. I can't wait to get the bar back and belts in so I can go drive it!

Off topic but I'm stoked to get the bar, my car should be running in 2 weeks hopefully.

No predictions. I'd really like to get the 8 second time slip for the car but it's no easy task and I don't know how this engine is going to work for drag or with the high RPM required.

Yes, I am on stock axles. I have bought a few sets of spares over the years and only had to use one. The night we broke the axle we were on street tires and the car wheel hopped, that is the only one we've broken.

The only update is the car is running fantastic, no problems and Robispec just put his hard bushing kit on the car last week and traction is GREATLY improved. We will be running it at the shootout.

I am going to run the same rim and tire set up on my car. Questions though about them QTP's:
1. What do you have the tire pressure set at when you are at the drag strip?(Front psi and rear psi)
2. You said you are going to drive to the track with them on. How far is the track and what psi do run for the travel their?
3. Your coilovers what do you have the front and the rear set at for drag racing? (soft, hard, or in the middle) Also what is the height you have the car at with your coilovers? I don't where to measure from. I want a good height for the track and D/D.

Thanks DB
