I highly doubt that amount of TQ on VD is even pushing their limits.
we are happy with where the car is now.. does it really need more tq then 580? its bad enough it has that much.. to much tq can slow a car down if it causes traction issues and cant hook.. i had it at 630.. i asked if he could notice a big difference after i dialed it back, and he said not really.. so i said ok care if i set it back? he said no.. so its set back.. imo its a smart decision to not push it to its absolute MBT downlow.. it gives very little room for error. if he ask for it back later.. ill give it to him..

launching at 5700rpm certainly helps nothing. neither does dumping the clutch!

best pass and my first time going to track w/ the rev limiter set at 8k (coasting through the traps not wanting to go into 5th, rev limiter is now raised to 8500 for track purposes)

60ft- 1.6
330ft- 4.8
1/8 et- 7.4
1/8mph- 99.5
1000et- 9.5
1000mph- 120
1/4et- 11.3
1/4mph- 117<------went down 3mph from the 1000 from coasting through haha)

i think this was every bit of a high 10 pass if i had the 8500 limiter set but for the first time to the track beating the hell out of the car leaving on nothing but rpms no boost im not mad about it.. not to mention the car was built for street which it is a beast on! who knows maybe slick it down and see what happens now that i have a spare set of wheels haha

What was your best trap speed? You need to go back with the higher rev limit.
