glad it held for you. sounds like you did an excellent job building/tuning her. And your evo was built on a tuesday or wednesday.
Thanks. Not sure what day it was built on but this is the third try to get this motor right. I started to learn how to tune evo's when i first bought mine and since then it has been ever learning. But as for the stock head and bottom end they can handle about 500awhp and 400ft tq for a while in my case it was 3 1/2 years. But tscompusa

Out at it again today. I turned on NLTS and it wasn't working too well... I adjusted the clutch out a little bit and it's working very well now! massive improvements. This is what it's all about, modding the car little by little, getting a little better a driving it, and enjoying the car.

Also fwiw, my revlimiter is set at 8650. It could be a little off since my tires are a little shorter but idk. lol either way 8650 is way too much for the stock bottom end + no springs and retainers on the street. I think i'm done testing her out now. If I can launch pretty well and shift like this, that ET is sure to drop! Time to go back to putting around, and keep the high rpm for the track.

And I'm saving up for a built bottom end as we speak... hopefully it doesn't pop, as the block itself and crank can be sold for good money... but if it does., then it does. i will build another motor and move on. I understand the risks, and the reward of a massive erection every time I step on the gas pedal outweighs them in my opinion. lol!
Nice NLTs Shifting! Gotta love the Gurus that have paved the way for us to have so much fun with these monsters.
Imagine how much better you will do next time u hit the track. Low 11s for sure.

Amen, if not for the ecu and tephra gurus this very limited platform wouldn't be where it is today. It honestly amazes me at how car these cars have been pushed, with the little amount of resources.

I am runnning an exedy twin. A few extra wavy clips, and no clutch fork stop. Hopefully the retainer clip doesn't pop off on me!

Nice job, the HTA3582 definitely has more in it once your motor can take it

Just finish your tune already! I know of some f bodys and lsx cars in the STL and IL area that could use a little 2.3 hta86 loving.

for those who wanted to know .82 backside.

Lol thx. I missed it lmao

570 on 93 @ 28psi seems high even on an .82 backside.

Good job nonetheless

570 on 93 is my numbers. Thats on an hta86 with a .62 hotside. Damn ams kit, had to switch hotsides. Thing spools up very nicely though with the smaller hotside.

The op is on e85 though.

Tsi's car is not stock block. its a AMS 2.3L with a 3586R AMS kit. It has quite a few mods. I figured id share his graphs. Its on 93octane only right now, but will be put on ethanol soon. its stock ecu and sd as well.

Btw Corey you see how much easier NLTS makes it just remember to turn it off if you ever lift shift through the gears, or else it will cut out fuel randomly and cause massive bogging.
