Graphic's Evo IX on FiTronic Flex Fuel Program for the Stock ECU
If I repeated something wrong, then I definitely want to be corrected whenever that happens.
You guys who calibrate your own car just google. "FreeFuel Patch" and do some research. Sorry, no merlin's guide exists for this one.
I bet the defs flying around for 9653E even work with TSComp's 965 variant rom.

I don't think I would be disappointed. Its highly unlikely most of the ROM was moved. It would be very easy to discern what rom each is based on. Then just use the XML for the base rom and you'll have 90% of everything you need.
The thing is the XML snippet posted in this thread shows the same logic that was used in FreeFuel. I'd bet the farm that a variation of that patch is being rebranded and sold. I'd also bet the farm that part of Tephra's code is being rebranded and sold.

As always, the devil is in the details:
The FiTronic ROM may share 90% or more of the definitions, and yadayadayada, with Tephra and FreeFuel Patch.
Professional software and hardware engineers took 3 years, perhaps more, to conceptualize, specify, prototype, R&D, test, improve, optimize, test for reliability, and finally release a product.
As the early adapter...I am speaking factually based on personal experience, with 2 FiTronic Evos that are my DD cars.
So 90%, 99%, or 99.99999%, either way a system is as good as its weakest link.
To put it into prospective, Ken Block's Fiesta Rallycross car is a winner, but if one tire is blown, or even low on air...simple problem...he is not contesting anything.
In the view of the value of our time:
- we have limited time on earth and every day
- most do not have the time to become experts at everything, nor desire, nor resources to experience/fund failures
- the value of saving your motor from risky half-hazard 1 off modified ROM untested...and a $7000 bill waiting if you granade the motor, and downtime...
- and in view of ~50whp or more that E85 Tune easily produces, value in terms of $/whp gain is tremendous.
Compared to cams...$450 for cams, plus valve springs-keepers another $250, plus installation work...for a grand total of $1000 minimum installed...gaining lets say 30whp on stock motor stock turbo....
This is 50whp gain, always...its accumulative gain...stock, with cams, etc...
Its a better value! And using E85 once in a while cleans all the internals nicely...nice side effect.
And for us in California, its easier to pass smog on E85 as it burns cleaner...so it you run big cams and larger turbo with 100Cel Cat...I pass smog just like that on E85 with 100cel cat.
Lots of benefits, no downsides except for the moderate initial cost.

Thanks for your continuous responses in this thread alpinaturbo. I personally have never dealt with you before I don't think, but if you need any tuning help don't be afraid to ask!
Thank you for making good posts and explaining things like you are.
I have a rather large build on FiTronic right now with a 6466 that we are going to post soon. I am also going to put the system on my personal evo which makes decent power.

The few I have seen who have tried it have had good results. Am about to implement it on my car.
No, not even close. Zetronics only shows you the content of ethanol in your fuel. It does nothing with the ecu. Or display any other information. (the eca anyways). If you want the ability to put pump or e85 in and your ecu to react correctly to it on its own, buy this as its the only kit I know of that can do it. And tscompusa will not do you wrong.
Don't get me wrong zetronics make good product, its just nowhere near the same currently.

I thought the Zeitronix ethanol display was just a display basically. It cant do any kind of programming right? or am I wrong?
Zeitronix is an amazing brand, its just what we have is much different. It pretty much is a true flex fuel on the stock ecu.
Thanks for the feedback Acuality.

Yes Tom you are correct. The zeitronix eca is just a display of the ethanol content in the fuel system. But i believe it uses the same ethanol content sensor to do so that is required for your fitronic flexfuel setup.
