Post exact weights of weight reduction you have done!
I've done a good bit of weight removal over this past weekend including gutting the rear doors then making aluminum brackets to keep the windows up.
Today I deleted the drivers side airbag (passenger side is already gone as well). I know its only a few lbs, but it sure does add up. Steering wheel is very light now without it.

I'd still like to know how much weight is saved by removing the door crash beams. I've searched and can't find any posts with pics and/or people who have actually done it. Anyone have input on this? And PLEASE do not post that you shouldn't do it because of safety, blah, blah, blah...
I am simply just curious

For 2012 I am shooting for a 259x lb car with full interior (all seats, carpet, dash, will stay) and street tires. I am right on track to do so right now. If my calculations are correct I am around the low 2600's right now. Just need to find another 20 lbs or so. I am in the process of removing all the un-needed wiring, etc..from the car right now.
We need someone to make a few custom one off lightweight parts for the guys interested in dropping some more weight. Stuff that isn't offered already. Anyone have any ideas?

Yea I got a **** load of ideas i want made that Jo one will do it.
A few are a supper light weight dash bar for the guys who can't remove it. And a light weight steering column. Also the rear trans bracket and mount can be made much lighter then stock.
