ok here are some pics. look at my stock pics for a before and after.

also note the corners i trimmed up. there is other stuff done that the pics do not show but just use your imagination.

at this point i will not be replacing the main bar with something else. i do not feel it will net anything. and im not spending 100+ dollars for 1lb. or risk becoming heavier. to honestly see if its worth it someone needs to cut EVERYTHING off the bar and weigh just the bar. then we can see what material we can use and if it will be lighter.

i still have more to do. so this is about half way.

it depends how crazy you want to get. you can remove all the tabs and some other stuff but then your going to have issues holding up the dash harness.

also when your dash is out look where the glove box would be. there is that bracket there that bolts to the bar. IMO i would leave that as well.

i burned up 3 wheels. and im not done yet. so stock up for sure. next step is stage 2 on the bar. im going to post pics when its complete. good luck guys. hit me up for any help or tips

p.s. i ordered another steering column. my original one broke and im using it to see how much i can get off that without hurting its structure. we shall see

Well you guys suck....I even being sick right now just went out and pulled my dash bar out haha. I figured it is warm in the house and I'll just mod it in the basement. I weighed mine and it came in at 20.4 lbs. My goal is 13 lbs. Should be pretty easy.

Keep the pics coming Dan. It helps a lot.

you can open the heater box and remove the evaporator. you don't need any special parts.
