Exclamation Issues Temp gauge

I am having some issues with my temp gauge. It is the aftermarket gauge from mitsubishi. It currently stay's under 50 and some times going as high as 70. does anybody have any idea's on what could cause this or what I need to check. The car is a '03.

...so wait, you got the meter assembly from the MR's, put it in, and your oil temp reads between 50 C and 70 C.

whats the problem?

I didn't have instructions or manual for these. It came with the car. So it is suppose to read between 50 and 70. Oh I see something i didn't notice before 50 C - 70 c . I was thinking F, which I thought was realy cold and wondered how it could stay that cool. Never mind, thanks for answering my dumb question.

no problem

it'll go above 70 though. Around town, maybe not, but on track, it'll jump up, for normal stuff it shouldn't be over say 110 or so, but on track, i've seen 125-130.
