System Install Question

Ok so i have Alpine Type-R 6.5" components for the front, Type-R 6.5" for the rear and 2 10" Type-R subs for the trunk. I'm powering these with 2 Alpne amps one is a 4 channel and the other is 2 channel. What I need to know is how do I run power to both of these amps at the same time? I'm by no means a stereo guru. All I know is the power ratings match with the speakers from both the subs. Now I've run just a single sub and amp in one of my old cars before but never a "complete" system. So any help/images would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

They sell wiring packages for 2 amps. Get one that matches up with the total power output of both amps combined. The kit will come with battery terminal, power wire, power distributor, ring terminals (to mount to amp), ground wire and ground lugnut (to mount in trunk to ground the system). Makes it a lot easier than buying all the stuff separately.

Would a local best buy or circuit city have these or is my best bet on some website?

I think Best Buy sells them, but you will probably have better options if you try a local car audio shop. They are usually not too hard to find.

I believe Crutchfield and CarDomain sell these kits too. I agree with st3alth5 that you should avoid BB and CC if you can.

You can piece it together yourself or just go buy a kit for two. A distribution block is usually what is added along with a second set of wiring.

you can either use a distribution block or a capacitor. capacitor is nice if you have a smaller alternator. it will help maintain your vehicle power for other things like headlights when you hit a really loud note.
