I have a 7 inch fold out screen in my evo but its in the top hole. Deck is in the bottom and the gauges were relocated to the middle vents. Waaay easier to read. Ill see if I can figure out how to post a pic for you.

Won't it be kind of hard to see the screen there? And I see your question about clearing. I'm not sure if you put it there if you could tilt it back enough to get a good view of it.

No, a flip out TV will NOT fit down there... It gets in the way of the shifter.. and will not fit without extreme modification..

Someone somewhere (here I think) said theirs worked, but they had to pull their shifter back to a 2nd/4th/6th/reverse position for the screen to miss the shifter.

I was looking at it in my evo. But it seemed like you would have to use a strange tilt, you would not be able to view the screen good. You will have to remold your dash or scrap the idea. There is alot more places to put gauges, but no other place to put a flip out dvd player.

Just curious, whats the reason for wanting to try and put it down there? IT seems like it will be a pain and hard to see. Is it to have on while driving? I had a 3 series where I put a 7 inch alpine screen in that area in front of the shifter. Had to mold it in and it was really tilted so you could see it well. Seems like its going to be more trouble than its worth if you don't want to do anything custom and still want to see the screen.
