Remote Control - setup?

Hi all,
I was looking on this item, but not sure if it works on my Evo VIII 2005 MR, do you have any idea on how to setup it or be sure it will / not work on my car?
Thanks.

I believe the 2 button key fob is what works on our Evos. Not positive if the one you linked will work or not!

Here's how to program your 2 button key fob from YouTube -

If you like, you can also go the switchblade key route!

Info in this thread: Although you will need your original key fob or buy a new one and program it to your car, as described in the video above, in order for this to work.

The links to the components needed are in the thread off eBay. Around $20 + tax & shipping.

Thanks for the info,
so the Remote Folding Key has already the two buttons, I don't have to modify the remote control?.
So no problem on the setup any EVO will be able to be setup the remote without problem? I just want to be sure before buy the good option from the switch blade forum.

PS. I bought two keys few days ago because I just have one so one step done
now need to program the keys and then just need to disarm one key to use the immobilizer.

I have NOT done this yet but others in the thread have. Here's what another member wrote that I will be doing shortly. If the links don't work, just go to the original thread and they're posted there.

You need a working 2 button key fob already programmed to your car...If not, then buy one off ebay and program it as instructed to above in the YouTube video I linke. THEN you can go about upgrading below to a switchblade style key. You remove the internals of the old style 2 button key fob and put them into the switchblade 2 button key fob case. The link below is for the CASE only..NOT the actual internals which you will be removing from your old key fob to your new key fob. These are not the complete instructions, so once again, visit the thread I posted above for more precise instructions.

COPIED OFF THREAD:

ill make this easy for you,

buy this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/400397625248...84.m1439.l2649

take it apart and remove the little black chip.

then buy this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/121164976222...84.m1439.l2649

glue the black chip into this and install your remote guts inside, get the key cut then program the key into the car as per the instructions in your owners manual. It's easy I just did it last week. The new key is high quality and works great.

ENJOY!

thanks, I will try with a friend Remote control and if it works will do exactly what the other post guide say.
the video that you post here helps me to understand how to setup the control, even without the remote control I followed the instructions and got the sync step without issues, so I hope it works.
thanks

It worked, I bought 2 fob remote controls and worked, I have a little problem with the driver lock system which some times locks and other looks like it is stoked even with the click sound a small move.... Need to know how to fix that.
Thanks for your recommendation

About the viper alarm, I have one with remote start kit, but notinstalled because don't wanna deactivate the chip or let it free to start without programmed keys.
