Hum... Thanks.. I'll take a look. The intake box have that main bracket, then the small bracket that goes on the side for sure. Need to look at the service manual again. Well, good to know at least you don't have it. Thanks for the reply!

My bracket on the battery tray has 2 arms that hold up wire looms and 1 big plug/connector. it bolts on the IM corner of the tray

Thank you so very much. Yes, I have that bracket that bolts on the side of the tray. I also found that other bracket with the rubber piece on it. Its dirty, so I'm assuming it will be on the bottom somewhere. It could be from some where else close to the battery....

R u talking about the 2 U bolt brackets? One U bracket that connects to the hardline, then there is another U Bracket in the middle of the clutch line?

Hey guys i know i am resurrecting a old thread, but i found this kit that is pretty cool and going to install on my car this weekend, figured it anyone else is looking back at evom for battery relocation tips or what they will need they can find this useful as i am, gets rid of the entire old harness that we have and he also makes kits specific to the 8 and 9.

Evo 8/9 Trunk Billet Battery Tray – Dc5creations

"The Evo 8/9 Trunk Billet Battery Tray, designed by Dc5creations, is specifically made for use with OEM or OEM replacement batteries. It is not a universal battery tray and is customized to fit Mitsubishi Evo Batteries. Our brand new charge harness plug eliminates the need to worry about outdated 20 year old plugs if you wish to add additional features, as the charge harness from Mitsubishi has been discontinued. All wiring is done with high-quality USA cable, ensuring durability and reliability. Please note that the charge harness plug is ONLY compatible with the Evo 8; for the Evo 9, an OEM charge harness is required."
"
  • Billet trunk tray will come with hardware nothing else.
  • If you adding charge harness with trunk tray will come breaker and necessary cables to safely relocated your battery to the trunk. Our cables are pre-measure already cut and crimp for you to just bolt everything up.
  • Charge harness. You can take your oem charge harness apart or add our charge harness for extra. Evo 9 requires to run your own harness plugs.
  • All billet battery kits are black anodized at the moment.
  • The location for the billet tray is designed only for the trunk or a flat area inside the car. Our billet tray is made from 6061 billet aluminum.

Trays will come all with hardware to tie down on a flat surface. Our cables are strictly made to length to reach the rear driver-side trunk area.
Our cables are a full plug & play kit, please watch our video for more details."
