So 6 puck vs 4 puck. What's the difference? Just blew my clutch at Willow Springs over the weekend so I will need a clutch ASAP that can handle at least 80% torque over stock. This will be for mostly for a weekend/track car.

no difference in torque capacity, though a 4 puck will be not as generally driver friendly

to hold 80% over stock, the twin is your best bet (Exedy/Cusco) and the most common

So what's the benefit of a 4 puck then? Harsher grab for more predictable clutch usage? I was mainly looking into the ACT Xtreme Duty Clutch Kit with street disc or possibly 6 puck. This can hold 636tq.

4 puck will have less slip = quicker to engage out of the hole

I'd recommend whatever you get to at least have a sprung hub - your tranny will thank you

The xtreme pp holds alot of torque..but needs a really strong left leg as mandatory accessory !

The four puck is lighter for possibly quicker shifting/ease on syncros, but it is more harsh and there is not enough material to dissapate the heat IMO since it is a high output AWD car, so we normally recommend the 6 puck over the 4 excetp in rare cases. I don't know where you get the 636 ftlbs for our Xtreme street setup. The XTSS is rated at 567 ftlbs.

any info/updates on the disk upgrades you've made (bigger springs etc)?
I'm ready to buy an act2600 for my galant vr4 but I'm not sure if I'll receive one of the new designs or not.
I've also read about some disks not being compatible with some older style pressure plates.

PM with particulars on which clutch combo you are considering and I will give you the details.
