need help on my setup
need help on my setup
I made a fourm on somethin like this before. I wanna run what i have in my signature. With afc, injectors, pump. Eventually go with 264/272 cams. And cam gears. I want to stay stock with the turbo i've been told it can do some good hp. numbers. How much hp can i hope on with the setup below? Then when i add on cams and gears? I kno alot of people go this route thats why im curious. Also would a flash be good with the afcII or a waste? Does the raised rev and boost tamper and remove fuel cut help out enuff to do it with the afc. And How much boost can i run on pump 93? Or does any1 have better setup around this price range???
Thanks
Eric

I'm sorry, but this smells a bit like a nightmare already in the making. It stands a very good chance of getting worse without some guidance.
For starters, all that hardware isn't doing much good if you don't fix the factory programming shortcomings first. You should probably consider losing the mbc and dropping the afc idea in favor of a competent reflash. Just doing that now should make things much better than they are presently and fix your current woes. At the present, a bone stock car can get maybe another 20whp from retuning the ECU, and would outrun you.
Forget about 28psi with the factory turbo. ~23psi in the midrange is about the max with pump fuel and good tuning.
Forget about larger injectors - you don't need them unless you are installing a larger turbo.
The cams/gears/walbro 255lph you can do later after putting aside another chunk of cash, and have the ECU reflashed again.

Any1 else... Ive been told it can be done.. little less boost he said around 25 daily pump and 28 on race gas. I dont really understand Ted B. is saying. Anyways i got the afc to tune the basics
