mitsubishi actually warranties their clutch to 12000 miles

 

yeah.... i was thinking about that too.... i've got ~11,500.... hmmmm.... let's see what we can pull

 

about $370 for a stock clutch,$60-85 labor.

 

OK guys. I just got my car back with my ACT HD clutch and Fidanza Flywheel. MY dealer put the set in for FREE. Why? becasue the trans was out for the TSB on the 5th gear issue. I went with the after market set up as the stock one is junk. If you burned your clutch you ruined your flywhell. There is a thin band just beyound the center hub that gets hot. You will see blue crescent burns on it from the engine side. The stock pressure plate capacity is close to the engine torque (actually measured by ACT). If you slip the clutch under boost it can easily over heat the flywheel and then start to burn the disk.

The stock f/w is 319 I got my Fidanza for 350. The ACT HD is rated about 400 lbs clamping force, almost 40% over stock. Hope this real life info helps.

 

that's it? including pressure plate and throw-out? i was hearing more than a grand installed...
