Greddy Injector install problem!! Anyone else??

I was installing some Greddy (Nippondenso) 660cc injectors. I had everything installed and trying to plug the injector electrical plugs back on and they wouldn't fit. There are little tabs on the fuel rail that keep the stock plugs from turning and they were so close to the injector electrical connection that it prevented the plugs from going on the injectors.

I had to take it all back off and cut the little tabs off to allow the plugs to be able to go on. Did anyone else have this problem?? I have found no threads on this??

Maybe you put em in wrong? I havent put in my injectors yet (No way to tune for them as of now) but they should just fit perfect. They look identical if you look at them... should just be different color.

I have had to change plugs on an STi before as the stockers did not fit the new injectors...These however were supplied with the injectors....make sure the plugs are on firmly.....you don't need those puppies popping off

I didn't put them on wrong, that is for sure. They only go in one way. I have done injectors many times on DSM's and Supra's. On the Supras you have to cut the original plugs off and solder new ones on. On the supra you are switching form a side feed injector to a top feed when you switch to the Greddys.

These were not just plug n play. They are different in color, but they are not identical in size and shape. There are a few dimensions that are different.

Anyone else installed these and had similiar problems?? Or did they go on perfectly??

The plugs are on securely now. If I wouldn't have trimmed the little tabs they wouldn't even go on at all. It is always good for the air fuel ratio if you have 4 of 4 firing.

The Greddy's are a little tough to get connected. You don't have to trim anything if you install the connector on the injector BEFORE installing the injector onto the rail.

It's impossible to install the connector once the injectors are installed on the rail <- drove me fricken' nuts!

Dan
