...which leads to my next question. Is it possible to install those two systems in the USDM Evo. I mean it might require a possible CPU swap because I believe those systems are CPU controlled.
And I heard another rumor that we will not get the titanium turbo. Ofcourse it is possible to swap in a titanium turbo if the exhaust manifold from the JDM Evo and USDM Evo remains the same, perhaps maybe even the ceramic turbo.
But my main question is, if we don't get the differentials like acd or ayc, can they be swapped in, in the future?

I'm sure they can be swapped in, but the big question is what the cost will be. You may need the AYC/ACD ECU, both active diffs, and various other parts + labor unless you do it yourself. I don't think you'll need to alter the standard ECU for the car since many Evos with aftermarket management still use ACD so that leads me to believe they are not connected.

The main engine ECU, ACD ECU and AYC ECU are three different units.
I cannot see what the point would be in adding AYC to an Evo 8 except for having a car that understeers more and wont move from the rear, but it can be done. Just need the AYC ECU, AYC pump, AYC diff and housing, diff carrier and two driveshafts

I think (assuming that kind of swap/upgrade can be done) that going after the ACD by it self is the best thing to do here. You will have to get a new transfer case that has an ACD and helical front differential and hydraulic unit for the ACD (assuming there have to be one in there somewhere).
Computer that we have in there might already have a code for the active diffs. It is much easier to have a "if" statement somewhere to check whether that thing is in there or not and supply only one code for all of the ECUs. Otherwise, they would have to have one for almost each of the configurations (nothing active, only ACD, ACD and AYC). In the worst case you would need either a new EPROM or a whole new unit.
With a good rear diff, I am more than sure that ACD by it self will satisfy most of the enthusiasts around here!
Either way, we should know soon enough!!

The active diffs have there own ECUs so that'll have to be picked up. I think it's an expensive proposition at this time. See if they bring them over for the next US Evo and it might be more feasible cost wise.
