fuel pump problems

Hey i installed my fuel pump today and i drove 20 miles and then whenever i push down the gas its goes to lean and i guess misfires. I followed all the instructions the only thing is there is a possibility that the 2 fuel lines (might) have been switched thats the only thing i can think of. < On top where there 2 fuel lines and the wire harness deal and a line with a clamp on it. I also put my test pipe on which im sure dosnt have anything to do with it. But anyways i have no power and it ran fine for 20 miles and now i have no power and i am stuck. PLEASE help me asap. Thanks eric 1 more thing if any1 knows the fuel lines i have the one with the black dot on closets to the pas. side and green closest to the line with the clamp.

Put the stock pump back in and see if that solves your problems. Walbro's can go downhill quickly and if you aren't carefull they can harm things so don't push it, just take it out and see if that fixes your issue for the time being. Always go the core of the problem. The fuel pump is very easy to install so it is probably just bad.

I know this is irrelevant, but I've had 2 stock fuel pumps die on me....and the car wasn't even modded! I hope it doesn;t happen again once the mods start going on.

D@mn talk about bad luck!, I am guessing a Fuel pressure gauge is first on your list of mods then.

yeah i'll probably get one of those...i already have oil temp, oil pressure, and boost.....i kinda want a wideband AFR or EGT gauge too....i have voltage built into my turbo timer. My cockpit is going to look like a damn F16 by the time I get the stupid gauges all in there..lol.

oh yeah by the way when my fuel pumps went bad my car did the same thing....any semi high boost and the car actually slowed down and made a sputtering sound (misfire?). The pump wasn;t pumping fast enough. I've never installed a fuel pump before...but i know it runs on 2 voltage levels...one for idle (which slows the pump down so that is doesn;t force too much fuel into the engine and rev higher) then the higher voltage (which is to keep up with high boost)...are there 2 different power wires for the fuel pump that could have been reversed? Bad ground?

Some people say that when you buy the walbro they work and some say they don't, try to send it back to wherever you bought it from and have them send you a new one. You might have just got a bad pump, use the stocker untill then.

so has any1 had this prob. before im just curious. I sent a email to extremepsi just waiting for the response. So the next thing is....I made a post earlier about putting a fuel pump in with a full gas tank how it didnt work and i was a dumb ***. Well i did it on a empty tank the next try then went straight to the gas station. So what should i do now? Is there anyway to "drain" some out into a gas tank w/o to much b/s. I would just go waste some gas but since the car doesnt move to good im stuck..

Get a hose and suck the gas out into an approved gas container.
