I had the same issue with the Profec B II and I ended up taking the cap off, but it was to inconsistant in holding boost, but once I figured it out it was pretty good, but to hectic to work with either way. With the type S I also run with the cap off on the solenoid, but it still didn't solve the problem. Are you running stock turbo setup on the boost controller? If so, have you ran the car past 20-21 psi (safely and steady)?

Currently I am running an external wastegate setup and it still doesn't work properly. Also when did you buy your unit? Thanks for the input.

Yeah theres some solenoid issue that has to be taken off from gredyd in order to boost over 17 psi. I boost 25 PSI easy on mine.

Does anyone know how to tune the Gain?

to hold boost best, turn gain to zero.

The Gain function is to control the speed of the solenoid. To much gain and your boost will spike. You want to have the highest gain without boostspike. Mine is set at 18.

i have used these on a couple honda's and for nothing they would go pst 26 psi. this is with wastegate spring at 17 and 19 psi. i would recommend blitz boost controller. they hold boost very well and easily goes to 30 psi.

The external wastegate does not use the same ports on the solenoid as the internal setupt. Not sure if thats your porblem but you might want to look into that.
