Intake Without A Tune?

all that is BS. the car's computeris pretty smart. if you run a diff filter, you need to reset the ecu, thats all, the computer will automaticaly compensate. the air will hit the sensor @ the same speed, nithing you do can change that. Evo's run so rich from the factory, i don't think any sort of filter will make a diff.

I had my HKS RS intake for awhile before I got it tuned, car ran perfectly fine. I just felt more of a power increase after my tune

maybe MAF sensor is dirty, it needs to be clean up good with eletric cleaner or alcohol.

i think there is nothing to do with the any type & designe of air filter. its just the matter of condition on MAF sensor itself!
