when looking into the purchasing something as extensive as this.. you must remind yourself... the customer service, quality assurance, and tech support that's available for it... my vote is with Buschur...

Good drivers can hit 12 flat to 11.9s on race gas at the strip. Im sure the buschur 4 kit probably makes a bit more power, but i like a little extra margin of saftey especially at the track.
The Buschur Stage 4 kit is extremely safe. We have had no one complain of any problems or reliability issues with their cars after installing any of our staged kits on their car wether they are used as race or just a daily driver. The kit makes great power and with the right driver will run high 11's all day long at the track. The car's reliability is just as good as stock if not better, and when equipped with the stage 4 the car is just plain out fast and SAFE. Take Care guys!

Margin of safety. I don't quite get that statement. There is no more of a margin of safety with Vishnu's parts than ours. Cam gears suck, I won't use or recommend them to anyone, well maybe an enemy. I am not turning this into a Shiv vs. me, just stating a fact on the gears as I don't like them.

You could easily do just the parts you have listed above with our parts too, we just designed our packages differently. Cams, exhaust, flash, fuel pump all great mods and the largest power adders of all of our Stages 1-4. Add race gas to the mix and up the boost and running 11's wouldn't be a problem. I agree.

Might want to look up the definition of "fact"

If anyone has any questions regarding our stage kits (either XEDE or XFlash based), let me know. I'll refrain from offering my opinion on the quality and design of Buschur products.

shiv

I am not questioning your quality or design. I only said I don't like adjustable cam gears. I have seen too many fail and come loose over the years. This is how I formed the opinion, they are not worth the risk. It's not like you make whatever cam gears you are selling so it was nothing directed at you.

Damn you sure are a jerk. I can't wait for June.

My friends and i have been using Buschur Parts going on 6 years now and never had any problems... The Vish im not sure about so i wont comment.. but as Far as BR goes .. There hard to beat... Robert Fullers Evo is just plain sick... Last road race i saw.. he bested the next closest evo by a few sec.... thats a ton of time.... http://buschur.qwknetllc.com/media/R...s_Display.mpeg

I started down the Vishnu route in April 2003 and have not had any problems with their modification path. The car makes good power on 93 octane pump gas and has been as reliable as stock. Absolutely no regrets.

I believe that others have found that DB's mod path offers similar results and reliability.

At the end of the day I would opt for the tuner that is most accessible to me for custom tuning, whether it means going to them or them coming to a shop near me. Generic maps and/or ECU reflashes are never as good as a custom tune.

Both Vishnu and Buschur make good setups. However, I have to say that I feel better about sending hard earned money to Dave Buschur than Shiv based on the posts that each of them make on this board. Reliability wise, I'd focus on quality of the installation and whether you get a custom tune. Most problems that people have with either setup are due to poor installation and/or working with only a through-the-mail tuning solution.

But are Alky injection and Methanal Injection worth the risk? DB u are the man but IMO u endorse a very risky product that is much more risky than Cam gears. Just my opinion; and to get back on topic I believe both Vendors can help make ur car significantly faster; so flip a coin and start modding.

Sounds like the Vegas boys need another Vishnu beat down.

BTW, I had a Stage 1+ for about a year w/ no problems. Great power and reliability.

David, where could you recommend me to service my car if your so far away? I know if I go with Vishnu I can go to Dyno4mance. I'm in Tampa Florida. If you have a place your in good comm with around the FL/GA area. Let me know this could lead me in another direction for sure.

Also David, if you have a way you think I could mod that would be a lot more "driveable" but a tiny bit less power let me know. A custom package will always be nice

More power will also do!

Shiv, are there any changes you could recommend differently from your standard Stg1+ with Sig parts? Maybe if you have any other parts you could throw in some other ideas to add or subtract from the Stg1+ to give me some good driveable power. If you could add more power without taking away any smooth and driveable power then let me know.
