Well the truth of the matter is, I have a modified 16g turbo with a ported compressor housing and a 2.08 inch compressor wheel. In sort, since my turbo is unique and different from David's (BR) and Robert's (FP), I wanted to know how it differed based on the specifications. My intension is not to offend anyone .

Don't sweat it. Your question was entirely reasonable. I'm pretty sure if you call FP they'll give you exactly the information you're looking for. Christ, sometimes you'd think asking for wheel sizes and compressor maps was a potential breach of national security. As if finding out the wheel size would represent 6+ months of development and testing...

If you don't utilize leagal methods in terms of acquiring a patent http://www.bitlaw.com/patent/require...html#statutory or trade secret protection, then it's fair game.

I do like the way that Dave wanted to "sell" the FP turbo Nothing will stop him from "buying" one of his own... unless the above applies.

4-BNGR,

Actually I do want to sell the turbo because I believe if Robert developed it then it will work. I had no intention of buying one, as I think you are implying, to just "copy" what he has done. Robert made commitments with other vendors to be exclusive and that is why I can't get them. I do carry some of his other turbo parts and buy from him fairly regularly. I had no idea he was working on this project or I would have gotten on board with it when he was.

David-

I was only eluding to the fact that vendor/shop competition will only lead to a superior product. The very cars that we drive are an illustration of this concept (Japanese makes in general)...

Zeus,

I hear ya on the JDM thang. It is hard to tell but I'm not convinced that I got over 10hp with the Greddy Ti exhaust. Thats a lot of coin for 10hp. On the other hand it sounds awesome and is only 10lbs.

So that is the 2005 10.5 housing? It looks like one big flapper instead of two smaller holes covered by an oblong piece. It looks good though, mine should be ready around the end of the month!
