I called and talked with FP today about selling these turbos as I have been contacted by e-mail and phone asking if we carry them. I guess Robert made a deal of some sort and I can't get them from him. Any of you wishing to buy the WR call Robert at Forced Performance at 972-984-1800, he can take your order.

I guess we are going to have to really kick it into high gear on ours now. I'll have ours back in hand shortly to test again. Hoping for perfection this time.

All you have to do is have similar results and a lower price to yank ALL of his buisness away

I don't think FP is in danger of losing any business. And for that matter, Buschur isn't in any danger either. In fact, they've both had my business.

I believe that this turbo is also available from Tym Switzer's shop, who helped in the development and posted up the dyno graphs. Not to take anything away from FP, but since Tym's shop is newer and less established, and so far everyone seems to be happy with his developments for the Evo community, I think it makes sense to at least consider sending your mod dollars his way rather than buying direct. And, according to www.switzerperformanceinnovation.com/, you get a $45 coupon if you order a WR turbo from them (I have no affiliation whatsoever with either shop.)

1.8t,

. I would never ever do something like that

Actually, what is most important to me is the turbo is right when I release it. That is the only reason I am not selling them already. The turbo was faster at the track than the stock turbo at less boost, just over 2 mph faster as a matter of fact. Most would have called that good and sold it. Not me.

There was a part on the compressor wheel that wasn't machined properly, crucial to the flow of the compressor wheel. From what I am being told, I am just the tester, that is what was causing our problems. Another turbo will be here within a week and I will test it next week after the C&D event.

The words I heard today were, "If this doesn't work then nothing is going to." I'll be hoping.

With my car making 393 whp (SAE corrected, 2wd dynojet) on the stock turbo on straight 93/94 octane fuel with a tune I have loaded in more than a half dozen customer cars already, it makes it harder to beat the stock turbo numbers I am already getting.

BTW, running a Dynojet on Uncorrected mode, depending on the day the run was performed can have a HUGE HUGE HUGE effect on HP. I didn't realize just how much until I started dealing with other shops with Dynojets and watching some of the, ummm, creative tuning that was being done. It's nothing to see 25 whp differences from SAE correction to Uncorrected, nothing.

It can also go the other way and you could loose HP running it Uncorrected.

Senior in Mech. Eng. @ Auburn University thankyou. I am throwing out the obvious in hopes that Buschur can REALLY undercut FP's price .

I can't remember, but what was the posted, projected pricing on the Buschur unit? It wasn't much less if I remember right.

BTW, don't get me wrong... I've always been a great fan of what David has done... esp how open he has been throughout his development process.

I just want some competition in the "modified stock turbo market". Whether I purchase an FP unit or a Buschur unit, I know the quality and performance is there....I just want the best price possible . I probably fall under the category of "cheap motherf#$ker".

Yep, if I understand it right, uncorrected gives you the actual torque put down on the rollers on that day, a number that may vary quite a bit from day to day. Personally I've never been interested in what my car would have done under standardized/optimum/corrected conditions, I just want to know what it is capable of putting down on the rollers right there and then and to make sure the curve is smooth and the AFR is safe ... IMO correction factors are somewhat hit or miss and can be abused too easily to inflate dyno numbers.

sorry for the OT post ... now back to the regularly scheduled discussion.

A bargain is a bargain, assuming that everyone goes by ethical principles in their purchasing/selling endeavors is just wishfull thinking...

Look out the cheap people are heading in here. Seriously if anyone is going to do a turbo upgrade you need to look at the whole upgrade with supporting parts. I wonder how long the stock clutch will last with this turbo?

So to break everything down
Turbo- 1550
injectors-350
clutch- 500-2500
EM- 250-2000

Then on top of all that you need it tuned. This is what I am thinking about befoore I jump into anything.

Hey, I'm the one who refuses to pay over $500 for "some tubes and a muffler". I can't stand "JDM Goodness" as it comes at a price that should include two 18 year old "JDM", lesbian ******... with performance little better if at all. Hell, I think it was Magnaflow and Buschur's exhausts that made the most power. (Magnaflow is way up there in price though)

I run a WR turbo, and a Megan turbo back exhaust... because they work...

I wanted a "pump gas turbo upgrade" that performed as well or better than "race gas turbos" on pump gas. Well, I got what I bargained for without paying for a full turbo kit!
