Unhappy My car rattles when....

I just got done putting in my new clutch today and the clutch is awesome but when i am in 3rd 4th or 5th gear and around 50 mph letting off of the gas my car has this rattling noise coming from it i checked the down pipe its not that and everything seems to be tightened down any one have any suggestions to what it could be? and also when you are putting the axles back on to the car is there any special way that you have to put them on?

It depends what kind of clutch you have. The stock clutch iirc has internal springs that dampen the noise. If you have an aftermarket clutch/ twindisc/ rre no name etc.. you may just be getting the transmission noise transfered into the cabin and there is nothing you can do about it.

If it is stock, check the heat shield next to the transmission by the downpipe. It may have gotten moved and makes noise when the engine rocks on decel.

Finally if it is none of the above, did you by chance happen to install an engine dampner with your clutch? That will give you all kinds of whacky noises.

When I let off the gas I get the rattling too; I have the ACT clutch. It's so loud that you can actually hear it outside the car. It's "normal."
