Jesus will be posting the dyno sheet soon!! We will try to get the car on the dyno with a video so u guys can see it! This car with no doubt in my mind will be running 10's on stock turbo in no time! I hung out with the owner of the Evo last night and the car DOES have the stock turbo in it!

I dont have a problem believing the numbers, people have on occasion doubted some of my times and MPH in the past. I had to scan the slips to make some doubters happy.

BTW, I remember you from back on the Supra forums when you had the T78 and then the T88. I have the T78 kit on my MKIV now. Didnt you use to run Garage Advance?

Brian
Brian, it will be posted soon its in my brother's posession. Soon enough it will be posted. And yes it was me using the T78 back in 2001...and then the T88. And no, I didn't use to run Garage Advance, they did work on my car in the beginning.

I believe it was done. The stock bottom end in the EVO is great, so that has little if anything to do with the power. 550 whp isn't a problem for the stock shortblock.

My RS on straight pump gas with no alky made 393 whp. Knowing the boost levels that I dyno'd it at and the sorry *** timing that you have to run with pump gas making an additional 70 whp with straight race gas and a real tune wouldn't be impossible.

Curt's 10 second run is great. I think that over time 10's aren't going to be as unbelievable on the stock turbo as more and more guys will end up doing it. Curt will always be the first.

Bottom line is the stock turbo on the EVO is a very hard part to beat. Stock upgraded turbos are proving more and more how hard it actually is.

Dave, its been quite some time.....how's going! Thanks for clarifying that it is possible to make those numbers, the EVO engine is awesome and so far we have never had any problems with it. Im sure 10's are coming soon, just we are having a lil issue of holding boost, it doesnt hold anything over 22psi. So we are trying to work out the lil gremlings so we can go back to the strip and do some more testing.

Any kind of decent time with that turbo means you will be in fourth gear before the 1/8th, then you have to ride the turd out the other half, feels so slow that you could fall asleep.
On the subject of my old 9.4 second Eclipse you must remember it was a budget car with just a VPC, 660's, and a 65# per minute turbo(thanks FP!)(FP3065), the car was light but it was built with less than $15k invested, never dyno tuned and ran 148.5mph at Norwalk, throw in a AEM and a bigger turbo and it would have been history.

Hey Curt did u ever think of usin the fp3065 on ur evo since u already did a 9.4 on it with ur eclipse? thanks Curt

That is a great turbo but with the heft of the Evo I need a good 100-200 more HP to even come close, the racecar was 2450 with me in it, my EVO is well over 3000 #'s and I still need a cage, what a sled!
