I am guessing your dyno run was also in 3rd or 4th gear showing the proper whp. I also highly doubt I'm making more whp than you, so 310-315 sounds about right for me, too. Oh, why does your sig say 400+ hp/tq? Are those adjusted crank values based on a 25% drivetrain loss?

As for Miguel, you say you are not making less than he is, but you said yourself that he got 357whp. How does that measure up? I still believe his 307whp in 3rd gear is much more accurate.
Who says I have/had 313whp on that run ? The target is always moving.
It says whp doesn't it?

I don't know where I said anything about someone having 357whp. You'll have to show me. I don't typically talk about other people's cars.

Good Lord, Scott, you're killing me here. Do you always have to be so cryptic? Jeez.

I had to assume you had 313whp on that run, because 313whp is the proper horsepower for that mph. You know I ran right at 111, but couldn't get over it due to my rev limiter and that I was bouncing off the limiter 4-5 times before hitting the traps. That would indicate I can hit 111 at least, and _maybe_ close to 112. That's still only ~320whp, so it would be reasonable to assume that you were in the same range when you did your last run, right? It would make no sense for you to run 12.26@111.6 with anything more than 320whp. Even if you were gear limited in 4th, your 1/8th-mile ET/MPH were no faster than mine either, so it's not like you were making more power, especially considering we appear to drive with just about the same skill.

You're right, it was Joe (sorry). So, if you believe your dyno numbers and Joe's dyno numbers, then you have to believe that Miguel's numbers. 357whp is way, WAY more than he is capable of with those mods on 93oct on a vanilla flash with 10.7 AFRs. You and I both know this to be true...

Scott, i got on the dyno later that day. I made 307 3rd gear pull. Then 341 in 4th with the air box cover in, and made 357 in 4th with the top of the box off!! Warrtalon u have to understand that 4th gears makes more boost and holds it longer, in 3rd i was boosting like 19psi and 4th it was spiking to like 23 and holding about 20.5 to 21 towards redline. Yes the car has alot more room for improvement! Ask Boosted joe, he seen me race 109-110 cars a few times! Warrtalon also 5 speed with trap higher than a 6 speed like scott said bc of gear ratios! I will post dyno sheet when i get a chance!

Miguel's car was one of the stronger ones stock. So if there is a +/-20whp variance, then it is understandable. I don't know anything about his flash though. I believe he has an O2 housing. I don't.

At the least, we have all rolled the same dyno so there is a perspective. 90% of the rest of the well known Evo community spins a DJ so this should be an equal comparison. The "Chris" AMS Evo just spun this dyno a week or so prior so this is a safe benchmark. 668 w/ a 50 shot is on par with what it put down elsewhere if you deduct the nO2.

You keep saying you've raced 109-110mph trap cars, but you have never once said that you blew them away, which is what would happen if you had 357whp. 109-110 is closer to 310whp, which is what you actually have. I hit 111mph on my 6spd with very basic mods...I am obviously nowhere NEAR 357whp, but it appears my car is faster than yours (only with the 104/93oct mix).

+/- 20 maybe, but not +50. You haven't touched on your whp relative to your et/mph still. You do agree that I am probably putting down no more than 320whp with my 104/93oct fuel mix, right? And that would mean you were putting down no more than 320-325whp on your best run. Lastly, that would mean Miguel could run at least 115mph in the 1/4...I keep going back to this without getting any feedback.

Like scott said, my car bone stock has always been one of the strongest ones. My current mods are in the sig, dont know how i put those #s down with these mods. I traped 102 bone stock with a 2.1 60ft. Havent been back to the track since. So dont know what i trap. Just ask BoostedJoe about my car!!

Miguel you do not have 357. You know that. You know that earlier in the day before any of you guys dynoed I told you 4th gear had some weird issues to go by the third gear number. 307 is right for your mods. Be happy. That is good power for little mods.

I have not been back to the strip in a while. I think it is a substantial hurdle to figure out the 4th-5th gear deal prior to returning. There is a mph theory on MR gearing that I have already mentioned. 5th gear is fast as hell, but you are only in it for like 80 feet, hardly long enough for HP to shine.

He should have about as much HP as TQ which would make sense at the 310 range. 5pd Evo's should dyno in 3rd. MR's in 4th.

No warrtalon, you have more than the 325 range on a DJ type reading.

Swap some smaller height tires on there, and should be able to get into 5th sooner right?

I would rather go larger and stay in 4th than the opposite. I kind of like having a working speedometer also and healthy diffs.

Anyhow let's get this thread back on topic...

OK well I believe 469hp+ is possible on the stock turbo, because there is always NOS and ALKY
