Boost Hiccup?

Ok, heres the deal. Heres my list of mods:

3 inch TBE
1g BOV
UICP
Polished o2 Housing
Cone FIlter
MBC Set at 22psi

Every once and a while when I'm getting on it my car will hiccup(it almost feels like fuel cut). I was wondering if anyoine could help me. It also turned on the SES light. It seems to happen in the upper RPMs. I set the boost back down to 20psi and it hasn't done it but its only been a couple of hours. Any ideas? Too much boost?

Yes, you're hitting boost/fuel cut. What it does is that it will turn off all your injectors for a sec and turn it back on.

Yes, you're correct, too much boost and temperature will raise/lower your boost by 1 psi sometimes.

So get some kind of fuel/air tuning product like SAFC or simply get a flash which will eliminate that problem.

it's annoying I know.

Thanks for the info, I was afraid something was wrong with one of the parts I put on. I turned it down to 20psi and it seems to be fine.

No I don't. How much does that cost and who does it around the Philly area?

Make sure your upper intercooler pipe and intake pipes are fitting correctly and tightened down. I though I had a fuel cut or bad pump and ended up ordering a new Walbro and installing it with the same hiccup problems...your are describing.

Turned out that over time my lower intercooler pipe on the intake side coming off the intercooler had worked it's way loose. I was getting intermittent hiccups under WOT and it just finally worked off the intercooler.

Fixed it and the results were immediate, car runs strong as can be no more timing pulls.

mine was doing the same thing... it definately wasnt fuel cut tho... i know what that is lol. It just felt like it was spiking or sumthin... i took my cone filter off and put my air box back on today... hasn't happened since... i think that a filter w/o a flash causes that... i/c pipe would def. explain it too.
