at least it didn't misfire.
It did misfire, it just didn't 'feel' it and neither did you. Sorry to say but I doubt your reflash will be effective.

HwangTKD, dude, I ran w/out my new creader down the highway and got numerous misfires/p0300s, pulled/cleared with the creader fine, then i left it in for a longer drive (~20 miles) down the highway and got NOTHING. It was awesome!!! I sure hope this continues! BTW I'm removing it when I'm not driving, but otherwise leaving it plugged in.

So does this Creader work or not? I am getting this stuttering going on in my car and the 0300 code keeps coming up. Thing is that it is not suppose to be on the 05's.

Webguy.......why arent you leaving it in? I mean the drain on the battery cant be as bad as say...an alarm system right? I've not noticed any difference in performance when it comes to my battery.

The Creader DOES suppress the stuttering associated with the misfire. Get it off of ebay, make sure you get the right version though.

Hey bro, well I am going to leave it in now, I'm going to double-tape it to the underside of the dash with the dongle. I think it came loose tonight because it DID misfire, but I don't believe it was fully plugged in. My obd port is becoming tired of the constant insertion/removal (heheheh).

It does seem to work, but I've got to reset my test time period given tonight's little mishap.

Drove 600 mile on saturday with one misfire and I think it was because of an extremely ruff section of california freeway, It just missfired for a fraction of a second and the light went right off.

BTW the car runs much smoother with the factory reflash.

OK I went ahead and velcro'd my creader under the dash, so I know it's secure. It's working beautifully, I have only had 1 misfire since I installed it 'permanently' last night. Misfire happened on the highway of course, but seconds later the creader cleared the code and I haven't had one since.

1 misfire here and there + $53 to me, is a very good deal for this interim solution until I get my ems. Thanks HwangT for recommending this!!

AEM EMS is a non-OBD compliant system, so there's no CEL and there's no code-throwing, just data.

no prob! Now did you get a stutter with that misfire? Or just the misfire?
