I had this same problem and lived with it for a while. My mods are in my sig.

I had extreme stuttering at or around 3K rpms (little to no boost) in 5th gear whenever i'd try to accelerate slowly (slow transient boost). Letting off was the only recourse at that time and accelerating faster.

I finally decided to go to the dealer (Ontario Mitsubishi in Cali) to get the flash fix and that TOTALLY solved my problem.. The dealer needs to have the latest flash fix to do this. I haven't had the problem since

Do you have a aftermarket flash on your car now? Will the new flash fix delete my aftermarket flash? What is the flash fix called?

I do not have an aftermarket flash on my car and yes, the new flash WILL delete your aftermarket flash.

just tell the dealer that you need the p0300 flash/patch.

This error code blows. My car misfired five times this morning on the way to work.

Mine studders and pops the 0300 code a few times every time I drive the car. I tried the "leave the code reader plugged in" trick and ran out and bought a code reader (not the CReader) and it doesn't prevent it. So now I guess Im going to buy the CReader and try it.

Too bad I'm the 2nd owner of this car...or Mitsu would be buying it back.

Whoa. Does the dealer reflash really do this? This is bad if it does.

EDIT: Now that I think about it my buddy in FL had the P0300 reflash then Jester retuned the car so it might not. Anyone have a definate answer?

last year I tried to have my car flashed by a well known tooner and because I had the dealer installed P0300 code it didn't work and my ECU locked up and had to be replaced... What a HUGE PITA that was.
