I just made one that works really well. I used a PVC cap that's for 1-1/2" PVC pipe. I drilled and taped a 1/8" npt hole and screwed in a valvestem. And then I used one of the OEM couplers from the stock IC piping to attach it to the turbo inlet (with hose clamps on both sides). Works like a champ for less than $5 in parts (I already had the tap).

Where did you get your 1/8" NPT valvestem?

Local autoparts store (Fairfax Auto Parts). They were on the wall along with air tool stuff. Cost around $2-2.50.

I did a boost leak test and found out
my helix silicon that's holding the lower IC Pipe had a few cracks in it.
(it's amazing that silicon was NEW !!)

I replaced the silicon today along with a thin layer of RTV on the Gasket to the Turbo outlet

Guess what ! the loud whistle BOOST leak noise is gone !!! Now I can enjoy the cool spooling sound of the white rabbit which is a lot louder than stock turbo !

wow ! can't imagine how loud a boost leak can be.. until it happen to me

tks everyone's help !!!

Ditto i was there and have a Video of the Pass that Kent Jordan's car made with the WR turbo, he also is running an AEM intake so the turbo turbine sound is amplified some. It's probably normal.

Cool. I'm gonna make a new one using a valve stem. Right now have an air tool fitting for my intake leak tester.

The intake leak test never lies!! Glad to hear you found the leak superman105!

I'm glad you were able to troubleshoot your problem. I've had to troubleshoot a few of my own in preparation for Tuning Technologies this Saturday. I'll be looking forward to see your car at the dyno. I'll actually be on right after you. Good Luck.

My old tester, which didn't work so well, used an air tool fitting as well. This is much better and you can use a tire pressure gauge to get the system pressurized to the pressure you want without having to check your boost gauge in the car.

BTW, here's what the tester looks like: PIC

I just went to the local auto parts store and they didn't have that 1/8" NPT valve stem. Oh well.. I just set my air compressor to have 15-20 psi of pressure during my test.

BTW, using that 45 degree elbow at the turbo inlet is a good idea! I currently have a straight on there and I have to push my lower radiator hose out of the way in order to fit my air line on there.
