I bought the turbo whole from FP. I went into this with the following mods:

TBE
272Intake, 264 Exhaust HKS cams
Fidanza Cam Gears set at -3, -2
ARP Head Studs
Walbro Fuel Pump
Modified K&N element intake
Apexi PowerFC D-Jetro ECU

The car made the aforementioned gains with the WR over the top of these mods. THEN I had the car road tuned by Mark of TT last weekend and we added in the alky injection. I'm very pleased with the outcome. Do I think there's more left in it? Yeah, I do. It's very hard to adjust timing on a road tune. But I can tell you that he was able to advance timing by about 7 degrees and there is NO KNOCK... I don't mean just a little knock, but NO KNOCK. That's how safe my tune is....... So I know that there's even more in there but I'll have to wait to get it on a dyno before that will happen.

Am I anxious to see what's left..... sure I am.....

Am I happy with the way that my car is running right now?..... you bet your a*s!

Kilterman.... for peace of mind.... wait until the smoke clears and there are more REAL opinions of this turbo. It doesn't matter what the rest of the these guys are saying because:

1. they haven't even SEEN or RIDDEN in a car with the upgrade..........
2. there hasn't been enough data documented about them yet.........

Modding your car is a crap shoot sometimes. There always has to be some people willing to take a chance and experiment with something new so that the rest of the cows will be comfortable with the hay.......... no disrespect.......just being honest...........

Hey this is prolly out of your league but I have to ask, What is the difference between the full turbo purchased from FP and the Upgraded ? I ask this because I am currently modifying my stock turbo setup with spares picked up from the forsale section and am planning to send my unit in my finshed pieces including a 10.5T for the upgrade. as opposed to doing it afterwards. I dont know if this is the best situation but It would be a back track for me to purchase a whole one as of right now.

I am completely lost and looking for help. I thank you for your posting here and detailing your mods. I really think this wont be a "flop" I think it may not live to others expectations. But I think this turbo with supporting mods will kill any stock turbo 05 with same said supporting mods.

Majority of Evo owners are plannig GT series turbos and will be utilizing the stick turbo , so why not make it better?

Wait till I race my friend this weekend. If my car with stock cams can hold off his cammed tme car, that would show the potential of this turbo... I like real world results . You can't race / compare powerbands on a dyno. Video might be included as well, but it will be on a pm only basis unless the mods have a change of heart.

I agree with this in part, but you need to go get some timeslips at the drag strip, too, to see where you stand. ET is less important than mph, so mostly concentrate on that...

Bought it from FP and had it installed by zeus / mitsuorder.

I agree on mph being important, and I plan on making a trip to HRP here pretty soon for some comparo runs (I have old slips with easy launches). For now, some roll races will have to do. Power is power. If it shows on the street and on the track, it will show on a dyno...

He is running a very rich tune and only 20 psi compared to my ~22, but he does have a few more mods over me. His car has a good 30+ whp left in it with tuning and some more boost, but using him as a benchmark for before and after I was impressed. When we raced before I got the WR he would pull me HARD. Now with the same cars the only difference being my WR, we are basically dead even. Once he gets aggressively tuned we will run again. It's convinient having a fellow evo owner living on your street to compare mods/ gains to .

Sunday I will be running a friends 272/tbe/tme flashed car. Both of our cars were flashed by Mark on the same day. I will post results afterward .

Note his friends mods and then his own. Quite a powerful little rabbit wouldnt you agree?

I hope your camera is better than mine. Looks like more than a coupe people will want to see this vid. I guess it's the battle of the stock cars then! We should take some engine bay pics of both lol. I think I would win the "stock car" poll . Jon is ready as well. We might get at some tuning on saturday and see if we can get a little more power from his car for Sunday.

PS: Kilter, he knows the friend I'm talking about. He will be comming out Sunday as well.
