My thoughts exactly.. there are like 3 other threads this guy has going about his weak numbers. There is 1 "dyno sheet" on 4 pages.. Is this a dyno thread or a griping and whining thread?

With that said.. Someone give me a WR and I'll post some #'s up

I agree, he built my evo from top to bottom and on a FP3065, we made 550 awhp @ 26 psi, so he definatly knows what he is doing. He is one of the gurus of tuning and nothing but good things to say about him!

The person's car we had here, i spent numerous hours of my time in dyno'ing the car. Tried everything , flashed it prob 20x's .. and he still thought it was a tune issue. I got news for you .. it wasnt. Keep in mind , i made the same guy 294whp on the stock turbo ..

On this point we are in total - complete 100% unity

Once the a/f and timing is in the ball park there is nominal gains to be made on any set up by adjusting the a/f and timing slightly up or down.

The capability of a new turbo is found out in short order. On my own race car it usually takes less than a couple of passes to dial in a new turbo and get an idea of what it can do.

Just thought I would drop my 2cents on the new WR turbo aswell. I had a customer come up last week wanting me to retune his evo now that he got his new turbo installed (White Rabbit) and was very excited. I was more than happy to, as I have been hearing alot of hype about this new turbo and wanted to see how it stacked up against his stocker. Come to find out the turbo didn't perform like we had expected. The turbo seemed to spool quick, not much slower than stock but didn't hold boost like we had thought. It would still tapper down to 20psi at redline.

Anyhow here are the graphs, both runs were done on Racegas boost was set to spike 27-28psi and both would taper to 20psi at redline.

Run# 24 is the STOCK 03evo turbo

Run# 13 is the WR turbo.

Mod: 880cc injectors, AEM EMS, Intake pipe w/o maf, HKS 272cams, 3" turbo back exhaust, ceramic coated Ebay header, upper and lower intercooler piping.

Still on stock intake, intercooler, head un-ported, block

Doug is probably one of the most decent, level headed and talent guys in this tuning business

This post is enough to convince me all I need to know

Ouch! looks like the stocker had quite a bit of gain over the WR up to 4800rpm then was almost even up to redline.

Doug, thanks for the post. This is what I thought would be the case, but its nice to see it.

I'm a little confused, though, you said he came back later with the WR and that is run 13 and the stocker is #24? If I'm reading that right, than the regular 16G clobbers the WR in midrange torque, and the upper power is almost identical. Was the first 16G even equipped with a hotside?

Hooray for independent testing. That turbo looks like major snake oil from those graphs.

LOL! I can't wait till somebody in a WR comes up and tries to run my car. After I blow his doors off, he'll be like: "Man, what you got in that thing?"

And I'll be like: "More than you can handle pal, 16g!"

The run#24 was from the first tune I did, I tuned first a pumpgas map and then a racegas map. So it took 24 runs to get there.

The run #13 is from same car new folder so they start at 1 again. So again since I had allready tuned this car before it took less time to get her dialed in. Only a few tweaks here and there on the map. Run #13 being the last one of the day on the new tune.

Edit: the original 16g turbo was totally stock, NO 10.5 hotside. It was a factory 2003 Evo turbo
