Looked like you detonated big time. When you threw out your old plugs where there any thing missing in them .
Maybe your plugs broke when you detonated and pieces was left in the cylinder and was just getting pummeled inside.

Two of the plugs look beat up, but all four are black and I believe on one of the non beat up plugs.. the gap is closed.

I haven't had a chance to look at anything yet since the day it broke down, I've been going to work early and getting off late and I don't have a garage to work in. Perhaps tomorrow I'll get my hands on a compression checker and perform a compression test.

I don't remember anything being broke, but it was kind of dark so I could have possible missed that. I'll check them again tomorrow.

Anyway, I tried to start up the car today with a set of old, but still good NGK coppers and the car idled normal up until I gave it gas. Thats when it sputtered and died. Tried to start it up again and there was some kind of knocking sound coming from the engine. At that point, I just shut the car off and gave up. Couldn't get my hands on a compression checker tool for today, so maybe that'll come tomorrow.

I predict two cracked pistons due to detonation.
