so I was driving the Evo today and i filled it up with e85 at the same station as normal. i got back on the highway and drove about 2-3 miles and got off of the on ramp and the car died at the light. I tried to restart it and it almost started, then as I started to release the clutch and it dies. after that i tried to restart and it would build rpm to about 750 and then die i checked all the lines on the Intake manifold and none were blown off. So none the less i had to get it towed to the shop. Any ideas as to what it could be. Also the spark plugs were just changed about 2 weeks ago and it sounded like the ignition sounded like it was firing...... please help!!!!

 

Bad gas. You still had enough of your old "good" gas in the lines to get you that 2 miles. Then you started sucking up the new gas which seems to not have the proper mixture to burn correctly. Pull fuel pump relay and have a buddy spray carb cleaner into the intake after the TB use a vac port. The car should start and run while the carb cleaner is being sprayed.
