BG Syncroshift I & BG Syncroshift II
I did some search but couldn't really come up with differences except that BG I being non synthetic and BG II being synthetic.
I just put some BG Syncroshift I into my transmission but i need to add little bit more (I am talking about less than half quart). My local stores didn't have the Syncroshift I in stock, so adding the the II will make it worst?
Also besides everything, Can BG Syncroshift II be used on our Evos? It says on the BG Syncroshift II "For Modern transmissions" instead of saying For Front Wheel Drive Transmissions like on BG Syncroshift I.

Good question, I've been trying to find out too ... does it say anything on the labels on the containers ... eg: the weight of the oils (eg: 75W-90) or the GL rating (eg: GL-S or GL-4 or GL-5) ??? Let us know ...
I talked to RRE about this a while back. While BG I is okay to mix with other fluids, they don't recommend mixing BG II with anything.
Searches will tell you to use BG I over BG II saying II is too slippery, but the people claiming that don't seem to have tried it themselves.
Personally, I bought 3 quarts of BG II and it's still sitting on my shelf because I ended up using Synchromesh. I may end up trying the BG II next.

I think the container is one quart, you'll need three. The price on lancershop.com is about $38. for three quarts. your tranny will need 2.7 quarts, if I can remember correctly.

^^^^^^ I believe they are one quart each.
On a side note I have used BG I and BG II, as well as giving the syncromesh a try.
IMO ...both BG products performed better. With BG I being the best of all that I have tried.
The syncromesh seemed great at first, but seemed to break down rather quikly with shifting becoming pretty notchy after only a couple thousand miles.
I then tried the BG II which was fine for normal daily driving but I would always miss gears when shifting near redling. I believe this was due to the fact that the oil was so good it was not allowing the syncros time to do their job between high RPM shifts.
I currently have the BG I in there and have had it for about the past 10k miles without a missed shift and much decreased decel noise. I love how the tranny feels with it and will probably use it exclusively from now on.
