not exactly - it is modifying pulsewidth of the injector, but not setting the initial TOG - so the stock ecu is still very much in the show. For the amount that this costs, and the needs most Evo owners have, the flash is still the preferred method IMHO. I don't know enough about the new SMART system to comment, but definitely sounds interesting as well
