It's a USDM MR turbo, and my understanding is that all 05s have the same turbo.

Hey, we're not here beating you over the head with this turbo. Facts is facts, Jack so stop the attack. I'm not going to try to convince you there is a heaven or a hell either. The choice is up to you. Do your research, read the forums, and make up your own mind...just stop the controversy. I've seen you do this very thing before so, take it somewhere else.

I couldn't agree more with you, but as I have re-read the entire thread, I've not read a single post where anyone was offering this turbo for sale or even quoting a sale price. This thread was started to inform only on the preliminary results on a "prototype turbo". I would think you might be better served by sitting back, relaxing a wee bit and keep your fingers crossed for the possible advent of something new and exciting.

Or you could continue to cast doubts on something you know absolutely nothing about. Your choice.

It's really hard to say because it was two weeks ago when I drove your car, which feels great btw. We'll see what the numbers say at the track and you can take it for a spin then and see for yourself.

Robert,

Very diplomatic answer.........hehehehehehehe......

Alright, I guess I'm just going to have wait until Wednesday to get the real scoop!....( I can see you smirking......:-))

Either way, I'm glad that there are more alternatives coming out for the EVO. Bottom line is that soon there will be turbos of all different flavors that will fit just about anybody's idea of a perfect setup.

The more that come out, the more they will continue to get more powerful and efficient. This is only the beginning.............

Talk to you soon,

Tony

Interesting, how are you making positive boost even though your wheel comparison picture shows opposite rotation to the stock compressor wheel?

That was the original wheel design that was then reversed. Though there have been a few turbos made. I believe there was only one wheel originally built and it is in the turbo.

Production won't take long, maybe a few weeks. I know they are still testing and want to get an independant tuner to do some testing as well. I have not heard for sure, but it should be someone that most everyone will recognize and respect.

Al does great work, but it will probably be someone a little less controversial. However, I have no doubt Al would be fair and do a great job of finding the limits of El Diablo.

Hey Robert,

Can you tell us some back story. Like how did you get your hands on this thing and who actually designed it? I always find those details interesting. Sounds like you've got a winner on your hands.
