Oh thanks for verifying that. Since you put it that way, that is an AWESOME deal! So if I supply a core it would be cheaper. Just wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a used Evo 9 turbo from someone and send it in for a core. Or just buy the whole thing from Buschur w/o a core. Since I will be paying for a another turbo either way. (I have an '03)

Please give Dave a chance to do his research. These 9's just came out for Pete's sake. Dave had just gotten hold of one. I am pretty sure it will make more power than an Evo 9 stock 16G, obviously. And it will most likely make more than the Evo 8 20G. Stock Evo 9 makes more than 8. You need to use common sense. Not to mention the larger compressor housing should solve the surging issue.

Of course...but I'd still like to know rough estimates of how much whp each stage gives.

I definitely want to know as well. I may invest in this kit. Just give him time. He always comes through.

What kind of gains in mph do you think you would gain at the track over an 05 evo turbo (at the same boost).

thanks

Some of the questions that have been asked I can't answer until later in the day, I have to find out.

zstryder,

The lower i/c pipe for the EVO9 is going to be different than the EVO8's. I have already started working on this and have the initial pipe done. I have to do some test fitting on some other cars.

EVO8LTW,

I'll get back to you on the TME internals, I don't remember.

Kmcomm9,

The $1580 is for the turbo and installation kit. The actuators right now are $175, making the total $1755. I think I can get the price down a little, I am going to check later today.

Carliebrown,

Race gas this turbo will make atleast 375 on our dyno, with a good driver this enough for 10's.

jbfoco,

The turbos are going to get ordered today. Not sure how long it will be. I'd suggest calling and placing your order ASAP. We won't charge your card until it comes in and we will fill the orders as they were recieved when they do come in.

Out of curiosity, might be able to retrofit the compressor cover to an earlier turbo if you get the mitsubishi rebuild kit for the Evo9 turbo, The diffuser backplate, snapring, and compressor wheel (and bearings) may be the only real differences.. The kit should only be a few hundred dollars.. could make sourcing cores alot cheaper.

if someone has the part numbers for the Evo9 compressor cover and turbo rebuild kit I can order the parts and compare them for you

Does anyone have the part number for the OEM Evo 9 wastegate actuator? David?

We need to order one (or be supplied with someone's) to prototype our own version!

malibu,

It isn't possible. The back plate is part of the cartridge, we already tried to do this.

Mike, give us a call and I will give you the part number.

I really wana see how this thing can make more power then a 3071 for 99% of the Graph, if this is true they may be on to something. Ima liking the torque.

This looks to ogood to be true. It totally kills the 3071 where it counts. From graph, my feeling of the 03stock turbo in the back like a hammer will then feel like a wrecking ball!
Let me know when I can place the order
