Heh, there are guys here making close to those numbers just on meth. WR is not a very economical power upgrade IMO.

Great numbers! **** on these naysayers......

tke - it's common knowledge that with the alky kit, STOCK turbos are being tuned to 25 psi and doing fine...... chill out......

Peace,

Tony

hmmm, the dynopack sheets say "flywheel torque/power " too. Might be a good comparison.

I would much rather see a WR test without the meth to see how it compares to the BR500.

WTF are you talking about? I was stating that the STOCK turbo handles alky just fine. He was trying to compare the stock turbo without alky to a WR WITH ALKY. I was also stating that people are dumping a bunch of money on these WR's and making less HP than a lot of people with the stock turbos.

I did not post this to talk about my past setup or to compare it. It was a waste of a lot of time and money. I did post this to let people know that Tym is not a liar and the turbo does what it says it will do.

Back on topic...nice numbers, it's always cool when you break that 400WHP mark!

With that I would sure as (*&$ think you would break 400WHP!!!!! You said 353 or something on the stock turbo with 19 lbs of boost...and you're comparing that to 27psi with the WR??!!! You guys with this WR are really stretching to try and prove this thing ACTUALLY is worth something. I think it's been proven a few times and most people already believe that this WR is defiantely NOT worth as much as they're selling if for. Sorry

being that i am usually one of the first to verbally crap on the WR....i thought i'd chime in.

the only negative thing i can say right now is when the WR came out these were the kind of numbers we were all looking for.....without alky injection....but we have all realized that a "magic" turbo really doesn't exist.

with that in mind....these #'s are great. not because of the peak (415). I have seen just recently basically the same setup with the stock turbo make 405whp. But the powerband....if you guys can see...it holds 400hp CLEAR to the redline which a stock turbo cannot. the other car i saw with the similar setup peaked 405 but the hp dropped off considerably. from 5k to 7k the car was making between 350 and 375 up to the redline. This is where i am assuming the WR will shine...not in the peak...but in the powerband......

i dont' know who the guy who started this thread....but kudo's to you. You are the first that has re-opened my eyes to why this really is considered an upgrade.

cheers

Thats a change of character MR. Carretti, whats so bad about asking questions? This is the second best result and the same shop. Now if anyone has the trackrecord and experience its TS. Im not doubting Tym, FP, or any users but all this could be put to rest with some standardization of results.

Great numbers, I've personally been in a car equipped with this turbo and the way boost comes on and seems to transition as you rise in the rev range is incomparable to the stock unit's feel.

Also, I'm not positive but I've heard that Dynapack's read higher then Dynojets.

Remember that Bushcur himself said that really there are only 2 turbos for this car. The stocker and a GT35, maybe you can add the WR to that list.

I think both of the setups are a waste of money and time. Stock turbo + Alky or GT35R. Go big or go home But still nice numbers, congrats.

I'm not saying that Tym is a liar, but this does NOT prove that the WR is good. Your test was more like the WR with training wheels, except they have rockets on them. every dyno chart I have seen so far have shown that the WR is really no better than a $250 10.5 hotside equiped turbo. Just be happy you have deep pockets.
